The role of the Director of the Institute for Governance and Policy Studies is to lead the "public good" activities of the Institute, oversee the commissioning, management and conduct of research on matters of governance and public policy, and build the reputation of the Institute as a forum for independent and politically neutral policy discussions. This will include managing the Institute's staff, liaising with the Institute's funders, Senior Associates and Visiting Fellows, working closely with staff in the School of Government, and maintaining active links with academic researchers (both nationally and internationally), the public service, the business community and civil society organisations.
This position is a full-time, five year fixed-term appointment.
It is expected that applicants will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and a proven track record of research.
