Job descriptions

PD1 will be part of the institute’s research focusing on development of organic electronic materials. The practical part of the work will involve design, synthesis and photo-physical characterisation of new materials. The Postdoc will also act as co-supervisor for master and doctoral students.

PD2 will join Imperial’s chemistry department developing organic semiconductor based sensors for chemical detection by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy.

For PD1, we are seeking a Postdoc candidate with a background in experimental organic chemistry of organic semiconductor materials. The applicant should have a PhD in organic chemistry and preferably experience with the characterisation of organic electronic materials. Experience in setting up new equipment and knowledge of nanomaterial characterisation methods is highly preferable.

For PD2, we are seeking a Postdoc candidate with a background in the synthesis and fabrication of organic semiconductors and devices. The candidate must have additional experience in the fabrication and use of embedded hardware and instrumentation, plus programming proficiency in Labview, Matlab, C++ and Python.

For both positions, we are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, who can think creatively and critically, and who can work independently and consistently on the research project.
