Massey Business School

Massey Business School (MBS) has a proud foundation of academic and administrative excellence, teaching business studies since 1972. The Massey Business School and the School of Accountancy are AACSB accredited. We are benchmarked by the AACSB as among the top five per cent of business schools globally and ranked in the top 100 business schools in the world for Accountancy and Finance. We offer world leading, relevant, flexible, research-led tertiary education combined with internationally renowned professional development, entrepreneurial start-up support and in-depth consultancy services that are relevant to business needs today.

The School of Accountancy is currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Taxation, to teach at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to be responsible for the delivery of some of the School's tax-related papers (courses) in this area. You will also be expected to supervise postgraduate students.

This position is based on the Auckland campus, in Albany. The campus has state-of-the-art academic and recreational facilities. If you have not been to Auckland, imagine an urban environment where everyone lives within half an hour of beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanted holiday islands. Add a sunny climate, a background rhythm of Polynesian culture and a passion for outstanding food, wine and shopping, and you’re beginning to get the picture of Auckland, our largest and most diverse city.

To be successful in appointment to this position, you must have a PhD along with an outstanding record of research and teaching. You must also have a strong desire to interact closely with a group of diverse and high achieving international faculty. While an appointment as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is desirable; we are flexible in providing a three year paid fixed-term development opportunity at Assistant Lectureship level. This will provide you with the opportunity to complete your PhD, while undertaking supervised teaching duties.

Further enquiries about the role should be directed to Professor Fawzi Laswad, Head of School of Accountancy.

Closing date: 28 April 2017.
