An exciting opportunity has become available for a communications manager to join the world’s leading coral reef research group. We are seeking a highly experienced communications professional with outstanding journalistic writing skills, an extensive media network, excellent digital and social media skills (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) and an enthusiasm for science communications. The Communications Manager will plan and implement strategic and operational media and communications activities to promote and profile the research of ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies nationally and internationally.
Headquartered at JCU, The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies is a high-profile university-led research organisation with multiple national and international stakeholders. It comprises >250 researchers and graduate students, with ongoing projects in 30 countries. Our mission is to lead the global research effort to provide the scientific knowledge necessary for sustaining the world’s coral reefs during a period of unprecedented environmental change.
Salary and superannuation package: $104,341-$119,820 pa.
Appointment will be full-time for a fixed-term to 31 December 2020.
