Lecturer/Senior Lecturer In African Christianity and African Indigenous Religions

Senior Lecturer: Grade UE09 annual salary of £49,772 - £55,998 per annum 
Lecturer:  Grade UE08 annual salary of £39,324 - £46,924 per annum

Applications are invited from scholars with research interests and teaching experience in in the modern history and contemporary study of African Christianity and African indigenous religions.  The successful candidate will have proven skills in teaching, preferably at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a strong profile in research and publications commensurate with the stage of their career The University’s School of Divinity has a long-established global reputation in the study of world Christianity and indigenous religions through the prestigious Centre for the Study of World Christianity and the School’s highly respected Religious Studies programmes. This post will develop the School’s strengths in the study of Christianity and indigenous religions in Africa. 


This appointment is full-time, open-ended and tenable from 1 August 2017. 
Depending on their background and experience the candidate will be appointed to either grade UE08 or UE09.
