Assistant or Associate Professor of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying
About the position
This is an outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified academic to join the Faculty of Society and Design at an exciting time of growth and development. As a member of academic staff the successful applicant will be responsible for contributing to teaching, research and service in the Faculty and University at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful applicant will also engage in professional and industry liaison and provide student support within the faculty.
The emphasis of the position is to undertake teaching and research in Quantity Surveying and/or Building Information Modelling (BIM) and at least one of the following:
- Construction technology
- Construction economics/cost planning
- Building services
- Contract administration
- Construction management
About the person:
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in a relevant field and preferably have relevant industry experience. It is desirable that the applicant is a member of a relevant professional body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, or be eligible for such membership.
