Junior Sous Chef
Customs House is The University of Queensland's downtown city base. Located on the river in the CBD, Customs House is a unique heritage venue catering for private and corporate functions from 6 to 300 persons. A range of beautifully restored function rooms is available while its riverside restaurant boasts great river views as well as excellent food and professional service.
In the role of Sous Chef - Junior you will be responsible for the supervision of the kitchen team and production of restaurant and function food as directed by the Executive Chef while maintaining the high culinary standards of Customs House. Customs House is a 7 day a week operation but is closed on Public Holidays.
The successful applicant will need to be a permanent Australian Resident or have a Visa with long term current work rights in Australia. The person needs to maintain a high level of culinary service, have a positive attitude and be a dedicated, professional team member with commitment and motivation. Three year's experience in a similar role is essential.
This is a full time fixed term, appointment, until 30th April 2018, as a CATER Level 05. The remuneration package is in the range of $64,597.80 - $72,348.94 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5%.
