The Robertson Trust is the largest independent grant-making Trust in Scotland and has a vision to improve the quality of life and realise the potential of the people and communities in Scotland – inspired by the example of their founders, the Robertson Sisters.  In the last year it gave away £19M.

The organisation is now looking to recruit a new Head of Scholarship.  

The role of Head of Scholarship is responsible for the development and co-ordination of all activities pertaining to The Robertson Trust Scholarship Programme. 

Key responsibilities would include overseeing and developing new partnerships with higher and further education institutions, annually reviewing existing Scholarship policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements, liaise with the Innovation and Learning Team to embed innovative practice and a learning approach within the Scholarship Programme. A core member of the Senior Management Team, the role will have shared responsibility for the development and delivery of the Scholarship strategy. 

Professionally qualified, the successful candidate will have proven leadership skills with an excellent knowledge of higher and further education and a strategic vision for widening access.  You should be able to demonstrate experience of building strong relationships with external stakeholders and influencing policy.
