Reporting to Executive Dean of Faculty, Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine or Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience

The King’s Clinical Trials Unit (KCTU) is a world-class unit with full UKCRC registration as a Collaborative Group and a progressive, flexible business model. It supports successful trial design and delivery by teams across a wide range of disease areas, with particular strength in mental health, transplantation and ophthalmology. The current portfolio is valued in excess of 100m, with the majority of work funded through NIHR grants.

Following over 10 years of excellent leadership by the current Director, Professor Andrew Pickles FMedSci, we are looking to recruit a new, world-class academic leader for the KCTU. The appointee will lead the future development of the KCTU, working across King’s Health Partners (our Academic Health Sciences Centre) and externally to develop and promote its work. S/he will lead an internationally competitive and externally grant-funded research programme, building on the current substantial portfolio of trials. The appointee will contribute to realising the potential of King’s Health Partners’ substantial patient population and outstanding clinical-academic strengths.

Application followed by interview.
