NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY

Dean of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment

Now is an exciting time to join Nottingham Trent University and to share our strategic vision, focused on ‘Creating the University of the Future’ (www.ntu.ac.uk/strategy). Through the creativity and commitment of our leaders, we intend to transform the lives of our students and, through them, the world in which we live.

Operating from the heart of our vibrant City Campus, the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment is an exciting centre of expertise for aspiring and practicing designers, property and construction experts, architects and civil engineers. The School’s research seeks innovative solutions to real-life problems; underpinned by a practice-based education with direct relevance to the needs of society, industry and commerce across the globe.

A superb strategic leader with excellent academic credentials and a proven track record of effective management, our new Dean will work with colleagues to develop fresh ideas and ensure the School thrives during a period of unprecedented external change. With a history of deep industry links and high employability rates, the new Dean will continue to develop our partnerships regionally, nationally and internationally. A key member of the University Leadership Team, the role also provides an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to make a pivotal contribution to the delivery of our new strategic vision on a pan-institutional basis.
