IT Support Technician
We have an exciting opportunity within the Service Delivery Support Team of the Customer Experience unit of the Learning and Information Services directorate for an IT Support Technician. This position would ideally suit someone looking for a new challenge and a chance to advance their IT technical skills.
The role of the IT Support Technician is to respond quickly and professionally to any customer IT issue or request, seeking to provide a resolution or escalating as appropriate to other teams.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of supporting IT hardware, software, systems and services. You will also need to possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft and Apple products, and teaching room technology such as SMART boards, projectors and audio equipment.
You will need strong communication skills that enable you to explain complex technical information to staff, students, visitors and directorate colleagues. Additionally you will have the ability to problem solve issues, and create and implement solutions whilst delivering first class customer service. The post holder will need the ability and desire to acquire and learn new skills and share their knowledge with colleagues and customers when appropriate.
