The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (formerly known as CIMA), is the world’s leading and largest professional body of Management Accountants, with more than 650,000 members and students operating in 176 countries, working at the heart of business. CIMA members and students work in industry, commerce, the public sector and not-for-profit organisations.

Do you have a keen interest in the field of management accounting/business as an academic or a practitioner?

If so, AICPA | CIMA is seeking experienced professionals to contribute to the development of assessment materials for our Chartered Management Accountants qualification.

Role profile

As a Case Study Writer you will work alongside other senior Faculty members to contribute to the production of examination content. Taking a lead in the drafting of future computer based ‘essay type’ examinations. Such as our case study exams.

Alternatively, successful candidates will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the case study development process, focusing on the quality of the assessment materials produced. This will involve acting as a Technical Assessor; undertaking a critical review and cold sit of examinations to ensure that the cumulative workload is appropriate and accessible by candidates in the time allowed. Taking into account the suitability of assessment topics, as well as commenting on the technical accuracy, strengths and weaknesses and coherence across the different elements (task requirements, suggested answers and mark scheme).

Are you a qualified applicant?

We are seeking applicants with a broad background in modern Management Accounting, particularly with a cross-disciplinary expertise in a range of areas such as sales, finance, public relations, marketing, thought leadership, operations, information technology or research and development.

Prior assessment development experience is not mandatory but is highly desirable. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

Work schedules are varied and cyclical throughout the year, availability during peak periods will be a necessity. The role is unapologetically demanding but equally exciting and rewarding and we offer a generous pay package.

If you are shortlisted for an interview, you will be required to complete a sample assessment task.

Closing date for applications: Midnight, 14 April 2017.

Interviews: w/c 24 April 2017

Due to the high volume of applications, unfortunately we are unable to respond to unsuccessful candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within three weeks of the application closing date.
