PROFESSOR OF SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY

Salary Scale: £40,125 to £48,884 per annum

Union Theological College is the denominational college of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and a constituent college of the Institute of Theology at Queen’s University, Belfast. The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Systematic Theology, be an ordained Minister of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland (or be eligible to become such), have the ability to provide research led teaching in Systematic Theology, have 2 years’ experience of pastoral ministry or of working as part of a ministry team and have previous experience of teaching in an academic or educational environment.

The successful applicant will contribute to the work of the College in the training of students for ordained ministry in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, be a recognised teacher within the University’s Institute of Theology and engage in on-going academic research and publication.
The post will commence on 1st September 2017.
