Salary range £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

Based at the University’s Richmond campus and reporting to the Director of Finance and Planning, the Financial Accountant’s responsibilities include accountability for all aspects of UK and US statutory financial reporting and legislative compliance and the day-to-day management of the purchase to pay, billing to cash collection and payroll and pension administration processes.
The post holder will be able to motivate and manage a small team with a focus on continuous improvement in processes and services. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be a CCAB Qualified Accountant and will have an in depth knowledge of financial accounting processes and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience of delivering reporting solutions are essential. Previous experience of working in higher education or a similarly regulated and complex organisation is essential. Knowledge of ERP accounting software packages is desirable.
