Graduate Medicine accepted its first intake of medical students in 2007 and is recognised for its educational excellence and the opportunity for all students to undertake an extended longitudinal placement immersed in a regional or rural community. Graduate Medicine is part of the School of Medicine, one of the five schools which make up the Faculty of Science Medicine and Health. The Faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs which include extensive clinical experiences, use of advanced educational technologies, and opportunities for enriching work experiences.
The Rural Clinical School Officer based at the Shoalhaven Campus will provide high quality operational support to the UOW Rural Clinical School (RCS). This will include implementing process to support medical students undertaking rural clinical placements across NSW and working with the academic team who develop and deliver learning and teaching in these regions.
