Administrative Coordinator - University Research

The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and smooth function of the Center for Systems Neuroscience (CSN) and to aid the director/PI in all clerical matters pertaining to the CSN as well as the Hasselmo Lab. The majority of work done by this individual will deal with supporting the CSN director in day-to-day management of the Center as well as in planning and executing the long term goals of the Center. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to: planning and coordinating events, managing and providing updates on financial accounts, assisting with grant proposal drafting, assisting with job searches, reviewing fellowship applications, and working with other center admins. Work done for the Hasselmo Lab will vary based on the needs of the PI and the lab but will also be administrative in nature and overall very similar to work done to support the CSN. A successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational jointly as needed. skills, be able prioritize tasks well, and work independently.
1-3 years of experience and Bachelor's Degree required. Previous experience event planning (e.g. catering experience) or providing administrative support is preferred. A background in neuroscience research is a plus.
