The role and your responsibilities
The Administrative Officer, Research will be responsible for supporting one of the five disciplinary schools in the College with the management of School research activities in a job sharing capacity. Responsibilities include the administration of research policies/ procedures, management of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates, and support to the School Research Committee. The role will also provide advice to and participate in the implementation of quality assurance processes and systems.
Skills and experience required
The ideal candidate will bring to the role your extensive experience and ability to work in administrative roles in a research environment. Your expertise in the provision of quality customer services and highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communications skills will be critical to your success to this role. Furthermore, you will demonstrate highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing timelines, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
A relevant tertiary qualification and extensive administrative expertise in a complex tertiary education or similar service environment
