We are seeking a Graduate Trainee who wants to gain their first experience of working within an IT support and customer focused environment.  The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable working knowledge and experience of IT technical support, and customer service skills, within a service delivery/customer focused environment.

You will be given real work to do - that way you will get the professional experience that will stand you in good stead for the future. You will need to be a self-starter who is able to interact with individuals at all levels, personable and willing to turn your hand to a variety of work.  

Under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager and other colleagues you will be involved in providing customer focused and pro-active IT support to our students, staff and visitors. This will include assisting in the troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, assisting with the installation of new and replacement computer equipment, and advising customers on how to maximise the use of the University's IT systems.

You will also assist the Equipment Loans team in providing staff and students' access to a wide range of audio and visual equipment. You will also work with the team in the provision of first class customer service and support to our students, staff and visitors within the Support and Information Zone service.  

You will need to be able to demonstrate the aptitude to extend your knowledge and skills within a IT and customer services environment.  

This role is a two year fixed term contract.
