Lecturer in Nursing

We are the largest provider of nursing and midwifery education in Scotland and the only University to offer all four fields of nursing and midwifery pre-registration programmes at undergraduate level. We also provide multi-professional taught post-graduate programmes and research programmes.
We are seeking Lecturers with expertise in the following areas; adult nursing, community health, health and social care integration, simulation and clinical skills. Candidates will be ambitious and enthusiastic about cross-disciplinary and collaborative working across the University and the NHS. You will also be prepared to engage in overseas teaching and research. Essential for this position is a Doctoral qualification and a current active Nursing & Midwifery Council or Health and Care Professions Council registration. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Your ability to listen, engage, motivate and inspire others is also key to job performance.
The focus for this position within Edinburgh Napier University is to assist in the development, design and delivery of teaching and student centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice. You may also be required to contribute to collaborative research and scholarship projects contributing to the University’s objective of growing our healthcare academic reputation for research-informed student teaching and learning, innovation and integrated academic practice.

Salary: Grade 6 - £38,183 - £46,924 + excellent benefits.
