Senior Lecturer/Reader salary is in the range £50,461 to £58,132 per annum inclusive of London Allowance
Professor salary is in the range £62,030 to £114,692 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Dependent on assessment through the College Professorial Pay Banding Scheme
Applications are invited for the post of Professor, Reader or Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electronic Engineering; a new department that will focus on a project-lead, creative approach to teaching engineering and high-quality research.
The post holder will facilitate the establishment of a vibrant departmental research portfolio and take a lead on the design and writing of modules as well as their high-quality delivery and pastoral care. S/he will share in the planning and setting up of new facilities in a new building and the admissions processes in the run-up to admission of the first cohort of undergraduates in 2017 and thereafter in the setting up of teaching for years 2-4 and conducting high-quality research in engineering area(s) of interest.
The successful candidate will have a completed a PhD in Electronic Engineering or a relevant field in one of the following areas: communications engineering, healthcare, engineering, human factors, engineering, music and audio engineering, power systems engineering or nanotechnology. S/he will have a significant and sustained record of high-quality research outputs that have been submitted to the RAE/REF process, research supervision and grants awarded. S/he will offer evidence of having lead module preparation, delivering excellent teaching in higher education, effective team working, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous personal development. S/he will also offer proven administrative experience in an academic context and engagement with an appropriate Professional body.
This is a full time permanent post, available from 1st August 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park close to Central London and Heathrow Airport.
