The University seeks to appoint a Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global) to lead and deliver Durham’s international agenda. A member of the University Executive Committee and reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and Warden, Professor Stuart Corbridge, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global) will be responsible for shaping and refining the University’s international strategy, building meaningful partnerships globally and strengthening the University’s profile on the international stage.
Candidates should have demonstrable experience of the successful leadership of an international portfolio within or without the higher education sector. The appointee will have experience in building and cultivating strong international collaborations with external stakeholders, and will have to demonstrate their ability to further build the University’s international profile. Able to inspire, lead and motivate, s/he will have a strong intellect, and excellent interpersonal skills in order to act as an ambassador for the University and to promote it as a place of international repute in which to study, research and work. The salary for this role is £130k and may be higher depending on experience.
