At the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science in the Institute of Political Science the position of

Chair (W3) of Political Science with a focus on International Politics

is to be filled as soon as possible.

The future postholder shall represent the political science subdiscipline of International Politics within the degree programmes (Bachelor, Master, Teaching Degree) of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science as well as the Bachelor and Master programmes “International Relations” of the School of International Studies of TU Dresden. The applicant should also actively contribute to the development of all Bachelor, Master, and Teaching Degree programmes. The duties, furthermore, include participation in academic self-administration, especially in the Institute of Political Science and the School of International Studies.

Besides high publication and teaching activity, the ability to preferably broadly represent the subject in teaching and research is required.  Furthermore, experiences in the acquisition of third-party funding are expected, as well as the willingness to participate in collaborative research projects. Skills for conducting lectures in the English language are required. Applicants must fulfill the employment qualification requirements according to § 58 of the Act Governing Academic Freedom in Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (Saxon Academic Freedom in Higher Education Act - SächsHSFG).
