An exciting opportunity has arisen for a UWS Creative Media Academy Co-ordinator to join our team in the School of Media, Culture and Society (MCS).

MCS is a large (circa 2500 student FTEs) multidisciplinary school where the social sciences and creative and cultural industries meet. We are focused on becoming a centre of excellence in media, culture, and society education, knowledge creation and exchange. We offer a supportive and aspirational environment in which staff and students work in partnership to create societal and cultural change.

You will support and co-ordinate Creative Media Academy commercial activities and fund raising activities. Responsibilities will include assisting and initiating funding applications, the delivery of skills training and courses, and the budgeting, promotion, recruitment and marketing of activities.  You will also assist in the development of strategically focused Creative Media Academy related CPD, Research, Skills & Networking Events with the academic lead and help to develop and expand a network of contacts with industry, public and private sector organisations.

Educated to graduate level or equivalent, you will have the necessary business experience and a proven track record of successful liaison with industry practitioners and public and private sector organisations.  You will also have previous experience of creative industry production and / or training, including planning and execution of professional production or training activity

With highly developed communication and management skills, it is essential that you possess proven project and budget planning skills, along with the ability to forward plan and organise work schedules to strict deadlines.  You will also have the ability understand, collate and analyse complex information and be able to balance competing priorities in workload.
