External Relations

Based in Birkbeck’s External Relations department, the post-holder will increase user engagement through face-to-face projects and online content and media. Your success in engaging with prospective and current students will lead to increased applications, improved conversion rates, and better retention. You will achieve this through managing projects, creating digital content that adds value, and communicating effectively through targeted and segmenting messaging. 
You will be an experienced Marketing professional with experience of creating digital content, managing projects and organising events. You will have experience in identifying appropriate digital channels to communicate effectively. 
You will be a member of the Student Engagement team. You are flexible in your approach and passionate about student concerns and motivations. You will understand the needs of a diverse range of prospective and current students.

Salary: Grade 7 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £36,548 rising to £41,772 per annum.

This post is full time, 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and fixed term for 12 months. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
