Research Fellow or Research Assistant in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Salary: $66,809 - $90,657 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation
The applicant will work on research projects either independently or in collaboration with others in the research group. Involvement in routine laboratory management duties and supervision of research students is also envisaged. The position is suitable for an individual with a PhD and expertise in immunology.
The host laboratory is situated in the Bio21 Molecular Science and Biotechnology Institute and research will also take place at the nearby Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity. Both Insttiutes are close to the University Campus. The primary focus of the host laboratory is immunity to bacterial pathogens. The major techniques and approaches used in the laboratory involve flow cytometry, animal models of infection, assays of inflammation and microbiological techniques.
The incumbent should must have some experience in immunology and, preferably, microbiology
