Based in the world leading research team in the Communication Systems and Networks (CSN) group within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol, this is an exciting opportunity to join a strong inter-university collaborative team investigating future wireless access networks.

Our aim is to research novel algorithms, protocols and network architectures which will enable future heterogeneous radio networks to achieve superior energy efficiency and seamless connectivity. You will lead work within the CSN in one or more project work packages considering multi-point, multi-antenna transmission techniques, radio resource allocation, network and transport layer protocols and/or network management. You will be expected to formulate new research ideas and directions relevant to the project, undertake robust quantitative analysis and to publish, present and demonstrate results within the University of Bristol, within the wider academic consortium, to the various industrial partners of the project and to internationally to conferences and journals.

You will have a PhD in Wireless Communications (or closely related discipline) and have good experience of one or more of physical layer techniques, radio resource management or network and transport protocols.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on/around: March 2017
