We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to join the Department. Academics in their early or mid-career, who are strong researchers and teachers, are particularly encouraged to apply.

You will be expected to contribute to both the undergraduate teaching programme and to teach advanced and graduate level papers, with a focus on Software Engineering and Mobile Application Development.

You will also be involved in research and supervision of graduate students, contribute to knowledge development through scholarship and publication, and participate as appropriate in administration within the Department and the University.

A PhD in computer science or a related discipline is required.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$69,739 to $84,706 per year and for Senior Lecturers is NZ$86,840 to $116,478 per year. Please note - the rank of Lecturer in the New Zealand university system is equivalent to the rank of Assistant Professor in the North American system.

The level of appointment will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
