Job Description

This position in the cardiology section is a clinician-led human subjects research laboratory that investigates the effect of obesity on cardiovascular disease. 

The coordinator will recruit from both bariatric surgery and healthy lean patient populations to conduct research studies  involving vascular imaging and adipose tissue biopsies at baseline and follow-up months after weight loss. The coordinator will schedule research subject visits, consent individuals, obtain a brief medical history, take anthropometric measurements, and work with surgical and endocrine staff to collect adipose tissue biopsies. The position also involves data collection, documentation, coordination, ordering supplies and inventory, and implementation of current and new clinical/translational research protocols with IRB renewals and RedCap management.

Required Skills

1-3 years of experience and Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
