The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology (FSET) is at the forefront of the university’s focus on developing innovative solutions to real-life problems and provides much of the research input that drives Swinburne’s research institutes. FSET is seeking to appoint an outstanding researcher to provide high-level academic leadership as their Associate Dean, Research and Development.
The Associate Dean, Research and Development will report to the Executive Dean, FSET and will be responsible for driving the faculty’s research performance and development. The appointee will drive quality and impact in research as well as oversee research supervision and training to FSET academics.
The Associate Dean will have a dotted line report to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) and will work closely with the Swinburne Research team as they work to implement the university’s Research and Innovation Strategy 2020. The Associate Dean will closely collaborate with research leaders within the faculty and across the university.
