The successful candidate will be expected to further enhance the research impact of Faculty of Business and develop a research group around a key strategic area in information systems and operations management. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and lead a high profile research team in one or more of the following themes: 1) Data Science/Big Data research.  We are interested in candidates who can apply data analytics and big data research methods to complement the current research strengths in the school such as innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, international business, operations management, finance and organizational behaviour 2) Operations management research.  We are interested in candidates whose research focuses on sustainable operations, green supply chain management, port logistics related to the marine economy, service operations management, humanitarian operations, health care operations.

Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of five years starting 1 March 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
