The successful candidate will be expected to further enhance the research impact of Faculty of Business and develop a research group around a key strategic area in international business and/or marketing. IB has been a focal research area in Faculty of Business since its inception, while the internationalization of firms and the enhancement of branding and marketing of Chinese firms is of strategic importance for China. Areas of potential IB research (not exhaustive) include the internationalization of emerging market firms, international HRM, cross-border merger and acquisitions, knowledge transfer in MNEs, Chinese outward FDI, Stakeholder management and corporate social responsibility in MNEs, and FDI and knowledge spillovers. Potential research areas related to marketing (not exhaustive) include branding, marketing innovation, service innovation, digital marketing, cross-border marketing and social media marketing.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.
The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of five years starting 1 March 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
