A Level B teaching and research academic is expected to develop curriculum, teach and undertake research or other scholarly work relevant to the development of their discipline or professional field.
About the role
In this role you will develop innovative and engaging curriculum, teach and undertake research in a relevant area while contributing to management and administrative tasks. You will prepare and deliver lecturers and seminars, conduct workshops and tutorials, contribute to research, facilitate links with industry, and participate in administrative duties. Teach in the area of Accounting, preferably in CPA Australia Program subjects. Keep up to date on innovations on teaching and learning. Supervise or co-supervise Higher Degree by Research students. Obtain research funding and conduct and publish research.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you have completed a PhD in Accounting or a similar discipline and have membership to CPA Australia. You must have a strong track record of curriculum development and teaching and have the capacity to engage with innovations related to cross-campus teaching. The ability to undertake research in a relevant field is essential and you will have evidence of quality publications relative to opportunity. You will be capable of supervising or co-supervising students. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
