About the job

We are seeking to appoint two Data Scientists to undertake and lead research projects, establish machine learning protocols and identify data-driven solutions that inform and lead to improved student learning outcomes. In these roles you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Teaching Innovation Unit staff and the Divisions to research and develop statistically grounded interventions and methods, and to provide staff and students with information and feedback that will facilitate student success outcomes.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have a PhD qualification in statistics, computer science, learning analytics, educational data mining or a relevant discipline combined with experience in analysing and reporting on student learning data.  Demonstrated knowledge of education theory and quantitative and online research methodologies will also be essential in these roles.
