Job Description

Specialize in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services under the Office of Disability Services, working to ensure provision of mandated accommodations to Faculty, Staff, Students, and Boston University guests on the Charles River Campus, Medical Campus, satellite campuses, in online programming and for other events, conferences, and programs. Carry out tasks associated with maintaining compliance. Provide secretarial and administrative support for a work area or group of individuals. Responsible for preparing correspondence, proofing documents, maintaining calendars, scheduling travel, and maintaining office files and data.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree required, and one to three years of experience. Expertise communicating (in person, online, and by videophone) with individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, including a high degree of ASL fluency. Excellent organizational skills across multiple ongoing projects. Strong interpersonal skills. Experience in the use of both PC/Mac, as well as Microsoft Office platforms. Ability to become familiar with cloud-based online platforms (such as Google Apps). Some familiarity with schedule management software. This position is 37.5 hours per week.
