Associate Director Of Counseling And Programs

Reporting to the Executive Director, serve as a member of the Center for Career Development (CCD) leadership team in creating and maintaining a career development operation with a focus on outstanding service to all our constituencies. Lead a team of career counseling and program management professionals, establish an annual programming schedule, respond to program and service requests, and delegate related assignments to the appropriate members of the CCD team. The Associate Director will also be expected to develop strategic partnerships and working relationships with faculty and academic liaisons, particularly within Liberal Arts programs, to offer to and provide students with the career knowledge and tools to successfully connect with the world of work, and obtain internships, full-time employment, and/or graduate school admission. Design and oversee program assessment, data collection and analysis, and reporting for the Career Counseling and Programs team. Develop strategic plans for the Counseling and Programs team and contribute to the overall CCD strategic plan as a member of the Leadership Team. Additionally, provide one-on-one career counseling and coaching, design and deliver workshops, and provide students with assessment interpretation. Hold additional responsibilities related to the overall marketing and communication efforts of the CCD, effectively connecting with a wide range of constituents both within and external to the University. Participate in events and activities requiring collaboration throughout the campus and the Boston University community.
Qualified applicants will have a minimum of five to eight years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree required, Masters Degree preferred.
