Job Description

Boston University Metropolitan College's Marketing & Communications team is looking for a talented, smart Web Producer who will be responsible for the technical development of HTML, (websites & email), CSS, JavaScript, and other aspects of website production in line with creative designs and layouts. Knowledge of WordPress is preferred. Duties include converting Photoshop mock-ups into web pages; building new websites/web pages, and maintaining and updating existing websites; and performing QA testing for websites. Required Skills

B.A/B.F.A/B.S or equivalent with 3-5 years experience in a technical role. Experience with web-based applications such as content management systems (Wordpress preferred) and other technology-driven features. Marketing/Communications experience preferred. Extra experience apparent in portfolio. Proficiency with writing standards based HTML, CSS and JavaScript code and markup. Direct experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office, and Windows and Mac platforms. Familiarity with sound graphic design principles. A strong understanding of modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience. A good understanding of cross- browser issues and their workarounds. Working knowledge of Flash. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize and work on several different projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational and interpersonal.
