The School of Sciences is committed to growing its world-class teaching, research and consultancy portfolio and extending its active links with the healthcare sector and other stakeholders in the discipline area of antimicrobial molecular biology, with ambitious aspirations to develop a national and international reputation.  The post holder of this founding professorship will be a leading international figure with the ability to attract world-class academics to a newly established Research Centre, being part of the well-established Research Institute in Healthcare Science (RIHS). You will be expected to provide strategic leadership in establishing and developing both an entrepreneurial and sustainable business plan for this new Research Centre. In addition to leading on the development of a new postgraduate MSc course, you will contribute at a strategic and influential level in developing the academic discipline in terms of providing up-to-date continuing professional development (CPD) for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders outside the University, as well as the creation of commercialisation/enterprise opportunities.
