Agribusiness and Commerce | Lincoln University

  • Well established global reputation
  • Help shape the future of accounting education and research

Lincoln University is New Zealand's specialist land-based university, with research and teaching focused on three global challenges: feeding the world, protecting the future, and living well.

The Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce is looking for a vibrant and dynamic team member to join the Department of Financial and Business Systems.  Accounting and finance are an important part of our specialised degree programmes, which draw students from New Zealand as well as from the Asia-Pacific region. We offer financial accounting and management accounting as core components in the interdisciplinary Accounting and Finance undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Taxation, auditing and accounting information systems are also offered as part of the accredited accounting pathway with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia, and ACCA.

This position calls for someone with a well-established record of research and supervision of postgraduate students, and a passion for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students studying accounting. A familiarity with, and research intention in, the agribusiness environment will be an advantage.  Your proven record of leadership and mentoring capability with peers that builds the reputation of the accounting and finance programme will ensure your success.  As well as your ability to act as an advocate for the Faculty, and create and foster effective relationships internally and externally, particularly with professional bodies and industry.

This could be your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a Faculty that has a global reach and aspires to become the leading provider of agribusiness education and research in Australasia.  The Faculty and University are in a period of significant change and the successful candidate will be able to help shape the future of agribusiness education and research.
