The Department of Strategic Management and Marketing, a key component of the Faculty of Business and Law, offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to more than 1,700 students. This rapidly growing academic community delivers an outstanding learning experience to students (as evidenced in the latest NSS) and attaining excellent employability results. The Department has also recently launched its Centre for Enterprise and Innovation.

As part of our continued growth drive, we are seeking to appoint a Professor in Business and Management who will bring outstanding record of research and publication in one or more of the following areas: Strategy, organization studies, international business & management, the interface between entrepreneurship and innovation, and the resilient enterprise. You will play a leading role in building and sustaining a strong research community, supporting more junior researchers undertaking doctoral supervision, and engaging in externally funded research. You should have an outstanding research portfolio and significant research pipeline for internationally recognised publications. In addition, you must have a positive track record in teaching using innovative approaches, and demonstrate leadership in your field through participation in professional bodies, linkes with relevant organisations and other external stakeholders. Ideally you should have experience of teaching one or more of the following: Strategic management, international business & management, organization studies, and innovation management.

The business and management subject group consists of an eclectic team with both industry and research backgrounds.
