Monash staff and students are characterised by their sense of purpose, their global outlook and for having the confidence and skills to make a positive change.

The Faculty of Engineering has contributed significantly to the University's success; the University ranks among the top 50 in the world for engineering and technology (THE World University Rankings). One of the largest engineering faculties in Australia, recent growth has been impressive and it continues to capitalise on its breadth and depth of disciplines to tackle highly significant research problems. The Faculty's facilities and equipment are outstanding and include a world-leading visualisation facility, and multi-million dollar microscopy and microanalysis equipment.
