Applications are invited for two permanent roles to support continued growth and strategic planning in the small animal surgery area. The Section of Veterinary Clinical Sciences in the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine has created two permanent academic posts to support continued growth and strategic planning in the small animal surgery area. Appointment is available at different grades, i.e. Lecturer/Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor or Full Professor in Small Animal Surgery, subject to the qualifications and experience of the candidates.
Applicants must hold a degree in veterinary medicine registerable with the Veterinary Council of Ireland or a specialist degree with which an application for limited registration with the Veterinary Council (see www.vci.ie) could be made. The successful applicant must be an active specialist in Small Animal Surgery with European (ECVS) or American (ACVS) board certification or be eligible to obtain such qualifications in reasonable time.
Lecturer (above the bar) Salary €50,807 - €76,936 per annum
Associate Professor Salary €65,000 - -€88,504 per annum
Professor Salary €78,332 - €103,226 per annum
Full Professor Salary €106,516 -€136, 276 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
