• give timely, detailed feedback on students' spoken and written work
• attend a weekly staff meeting and any teacher development sessions
• maintain accurate records of work and complete other administrative tasks as required

Essential:
• MA in Applied Linguistics / TESOL / TEAP (or equivalent) and/or RSA DELTA (or equivalent)
• RSA CELTA (or equivalent)
• good undergraduate degree (or equivalent)

• awareness of a range of EFL teaching methodologies and the ability to exploit these appropriately in an EAP context
• awareness of academic language and conventions and how they may differ across the University
• good interpersonal, team working and communication skills
• willingness to engage in peer and evaluative observations and other professional development activities
• ability to work under pressure

Desirable:
• experience of teaching EAP in the UK in a Higher Education context (eg Pre-sessional courses)
• experience of teaching discipline-specific EAP
• awareness of the BALEAP Competency Framework for Teachers of EAP (CFTEAP) and the framework’s relevance to classroom practice. We also welcome applications from teachers working towards the BALEAP TEAP CPD accreditation
