Wiley is the world’s leading society publisher. As a (Senior) Society Publishing Manager, you’ll manage and develop around 10 society partnerships in health sciences, helping a diverse group of societies to spread knowledge, advance their discipline, and expand their community.  Working collaboratively with smart, friendly and highly skilled colleagues across our global organisation, you will enjoy unrivalled scope to develop your skills in communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship building. Championing excellent service, you will proactively ensure that our relationships with existing partners prosper. Crucially, you’ll also make an important contribution to the strategic development of our health sciences portfolio, working on new business opportunities, from community focussed events and initiatives, to signing new society partnerships.

You will have proven experience of working in academic research, in publishing, or within a society, with a flair for building productive relationships. Highly driven and well-organised, you will have a strong focus on achieving goals. You will bring excellent communication skills and a winning personality to the role. Core responsibilities include:

  • Taking responsibility for successful renewal or renegotiation of journal contracts
  • Managing financial performance of journals, including  budgeting and expenditure decisions
  • Attending editorial board and society meetings, hosting strategy sessions and presenting formal publisher reports

It’s a great place to work and you can go home at the end of the day knowing that you helped a diverse group of publishing partners to make a real difference in the world.
