Business School

Permanent, Full-time

The Auckland University of Technology Business School has a reputation as a leading provider of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate business education, with strong links to business, employers and professional bodies. It is accredited by AACSB. The Business School has over 4500 students and over 150 academic staff. Our programmes include a very successful Bachelor of Business, research and course-work master’s degrees, including a Master of Global Business, an MBA and PhD.

The Department of International Business currently has seven full-time staff and several Ph.D. students. We provide strong research support and staff have strong links with a number of major IB researchers and centres in other parts of the world. The nature of research carried out is both conceptual and applied and appears in a range of top-ranked international journals.

We are looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to be employed on a permanent full-time basis. Qualified applicants with research interests in any of the main areas of international business will be considered. We are specifically looking candidates with a PhD in International Business (or near completion of their PhD). The ideal candidate would have a proven research track record and teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels. Our working conditions are excellent and staff currently have the right to apply for up to six months’ sabbatical leave after three years’ service. The level of appointment will be determined by qualifications and experience, and the start date be mutually agreed upon – but ideally a successful candidate would be on board during 2017.
