The Faculty of Science has more than 9000 students and over 500 staff dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge. It delivers flexible and innovative teaching programs designed to produce job-ready graduates for a diverse range of professions.

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health is currently located on four campuses in NSW (Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange and Wagga Wagga) and offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The School has a well established reputation in providing high quality education programs, both on-campus (internal) and off-campus (distance education and overseas), which will equip graduates to function effectively in nursing, midwifery, and Indigenous mental health employment.

This Clinical Chair in Aged Care Practice Innovation will be responsible for providing nursing leadership in clinical research, community engagement and education in aged care practice. This will include promoting excellence in the School’s teaching, research, scholarly and professional activities and supporting senior academic staff and aged care clinical nurses. The Clinical Chair in Aged Care Practice Innovation will facilitate improvements to aged care clinical practice as well as contribute to undergraduate and post graduate teaching. Research leadership will comprise the conduct of research including encouraging, instigating, coaching and facilitating research projects amongst colleagues within the region and CSU; establishing research projects and writing research grant proposals and submissions to attract research funding; and supervising and supporting higher degree students and aged care clinical nurses to develop research proposals and funding applications. In addition the Clinical Chair in Aged Care Practice Innovation will be actively involved with community engagement including educating and supporting staff at the local health service in the development and implementation of policies, programs, services and projects to advance aged care.
