Professor in Polymer Processing

WMG was founded by Professor Lord Bhattacharyya to help reinvigorate UK manufacturing. From its inception WMG’s mission has been to improve the competitiveness of organisations through the application of value adding innovation, new technologies and skills deployment, bringing academic rigour to industrial and organisational practice.

Following the establishment of the National Polymer Processing Centre (NPPC) we are seeking to appoint a Professor in Polymer Processing to oversee and develop the research portfolio.  The preferred candidate will bring a successful track record at a senior level in polymer research and be able to provide innovative solutions to complex industrial problems by building a bridge between WMG and interested parties. You will be able to demonstrate a strong research and publication record and have significant experience of collaborative industrial working.  You will be able to work as a strong team member using excellent leadership and communication skills with the aim to encourage the next generation of talent.
