The School of Biomedical Sciences is a well-established, multi-campus, academic unit that offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses both onshore and offshore in pharmacy, medical science, food and nutrition, biotechnology, forensic biotechnology, clinical science, asthma education, clinical physiology, respiratory science, health services management, paramedicine and complementary medicine.
The School is committed to enhancing its reputation as a high performing multidisciplinary school by having academics focused on providing quality education and being actively involved in a variety of medical, biotechnology and health based research programs that complement these courses.
The Associate Professor / Professor in Paramedicine will provide academic leadership and mentorship to a highly successful team. The incumbent will have a strong track record in teaching and research and will teach into the paramedic programs that include the Bachelor of Clinical Practice (Paramedic), Graduate Diploma of Clinical Practice (Paramedic), Post Graduate Certificate in Intensive Care Paramedic Studies, and Post Graduate Certificate in EMS Leadership and Management programs for internal and distance students. An outstanding record of success in winning nationally competitive funding awards and publication in high impact national and international level academic journals is required. The Paramedicine Programme is conducted at two CSU campuses, Bathurst and Port Macquarie. Appointment will be at the Bathurst or Port Macquarie campus.
