Following the highly successful tenure of Professor Lesley Yellowlees, CBE, FRSE, the University is now seeking to appoint an exceptional Vice-Principal and Head to provide academic leadership and overall strategic management for the College. A member of the University Senior Management Group, s/he is expected to contribute to the development of the University's academic and business strategy and the promotion of effective 'inter-College' collaborations and activities. With an outstanding international reputation in research and education within a relevant discipline, s/he will have significant leadership and management experience, with sound financial acumen and experience of business planning. A visionary for modern forms of science and engineering education and research, the Vice-Principal and Head will be able to design and lead an ambitious University and College strategy in a collegiate and collaborative way. A champion for equality and diversity, s/he will also have the interpersonal skills to represent the institution, build relationships and raise the profile of the College, particularly internationally, with prospective staff and students, with industry partners and with donors and funding bodies.
