Background

Occupational Health & Safety Training Courses

Responsibility    

The appointee will be required to conduct training in the area of Occupational Health & Safety through short duration courses both as scheduled courses and as in-house programmes for employers. He/she shall also conduct research, market, develop and evaluate training courses pertaining to OHS. He / She will be responsible to assist in the delivery of OHS Modules I & II; and documentation & implementation of the requirements of the OSHAS 18001: 2005. Additional duties will involve identifying industry training needs, marketing, organizing and managing all aspects of the day to day running course in the area of OHS. The appointee will also be responsible for conducting research on OHS issues pertaining to training & consultancy, contacting participants regarding confirmation and fees, co-coordinating relevant training courses, preparing learning materials and training relevant to the course contents and providing professional guidance and skills training to course participants.

MQR    

A Good quality Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or Technology OR relevant Advanced Diploma with 2 years post Advanced Diploma relevant work experience OR relevant Diploma with 4 years post Diploma relevant work experience. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and deal with various industries and stakeholders with excellent presentation, organizing, planning, problem solving and project management skills. Applicants must be result oriented and customer focused. A Ministry of Labour accredited OHS trainer is preferable but not compulsory.

Salary    

An attractive salary commensurate with qualifications and abilities would be negotiated with the successful applicant.
