We are inviting experienced higher education academics, with a completed PhD or MBA specialising in business related subjects to please apply.


We are looking for a number of Online Facilitators across Australia with a PhD or an MBA in a business related discipline to apply.  In the absence of a PhD qualification, we will consider applicants with an MBA if combined with very strong industry experience. We are seeking expressions of interest at this stage. The roles are not due to commence until early next year. The process of recruitment however, will commence effective immediately as all placements need to be filled by early next year.

The Online Facilitator will deliver online classes under the guidance of the Academic Director and Senior Academic Manager. Online Facilitators at AIB deliver classes using AIB content and assessment.  Online Facilitators provide assistance and support to students in all academic matters relating to the subject, deliver webinars in the subject, mark subject assessments and provide feedback to students about marks assessment items.

You will play a key role in providing a best class experience for AIB students.

The Online Facilitator reports to the Senior Academic Manager for Operational Matters and to the Academic Director for Academic Matters.


  • Facilitate webinars, forum discussions and mark assessments
  • Preparing for subject delivery and remaining up-to-date with subject content/assessment
  • Collaborating with Subject Coordinator about all aspects of subject delivery
  • Interacting pro-actively with students through webinars and Learning Management System (e.g. forum)
  • Providing academic support to students
  • Being responsible for the student experience in the online class
  • Marking student assessment items and providing assessment feedback


  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
  • Demonstrated high standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer Service Focus and strong people skills
  • Ability to commit to flexible work hours
  • Experience in teaching subjects in one or more major business disciplines
  • Experience in teaching adult learners and post-graduate students
  • Experience of teaching in Australian higher education
  • Up-to-date discipline knowledge in one or more major business discipline areas (particularly Marketing, HRM, Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Logistics, Tourism)
  • Knowledge of Australian Higher Education pedagogical principles (including relating to online learning and adult learning)
